Jesus doesn’t stand at a distance and wait to see if we can make it all the way to him.  He doesn’t test our faith to see if it’s strong enough, because sometimes it’s not.  But here’s the truth. Jesus is strong enough.  Stronger even than our doubts and fears.  And he reaches out his hand, and catches us.

Jesus taught his disciples to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.”  The fact that it’s bread and not some fancier food implies that while we live in this sin-broken world, Jesus is not going to give us every last thing that we WANT… but he will give us all the things that we NEED.
