In the end, spiritual rest is kind of like physical rest. You don’t get it by running around and doing things. You get it by sitting still, and receiving things… like free forgiveness from a God who loves you unconditionally. Like the joy of getting to live your whole life in his presence. Like the certainty of eternal life that is coming in heaven.

Planting seeds in God’s Kingdom is slow, and unpredictable, and challenging – but it’s also incredibly rewarding, to sit back and watch how God in his wisdom uses the simple gospel message to transform human hearts.

Unexpected grace flipped Isaiah from fear to confidence, and had prepared him for a “Life with God.”  And unexpected grace does the same thing for you and me.
